Early 20th C. Tibetan tie and dye Ladakhi Shawl. This may be older but the traditional hand woven tie and dye Ladakhi Shawls has not been made since 1960's. Today women opt for more common western styles. A few very old women still wear these during festival time. Very nice two color variation within the tigma. Ladakhi shawls often have most of the fringe missing. The bottom of this piece has some missing fringe.
