Early 20th C. Tibetan Apron Blanket of Vegetable dyes. Still common today is the Tibetan Apron worn by married women. Generally speaking they are store bought today. On occasion I see village women weaving them on a loom, they weave in traditional method using chemically dyed wool. A Tibetan apron uses traditional contrasting colors. Though the colors are contrasting, the vegetable dye creates a smooth transition throughout. ![]() |
