Late 19th-Early 20th C. Kanden (sleeping Rug) Fringe and back added later, making this a false Wangden. People liked the fringe and padded backing of the warp faced Wangden. Wangdens were more expensive rugs because of their rarity, when Wangdens disappeared people added the back, added the aesthetic pleasing fringe to their otherwise normal rugs.
