19th C. Sleeping/Runner Monastery Wangden tightly woven, very unusual yak hair. Each: the geometric motif and green inner field, the red border are quite unusual in Wangden structure. This has some regal appeal to it. Wangdens have a warp faced backing. These rugs are considerably heavier and more comfortable, they were to be used in the monastery.
